As someone with advanced degrees in engineering, my passion has always been rooted in technology. While many might label me a "tech geek," I find immense joy in how computers can simplify lives and unlock new possibilities. For me, it's not just about the technology itself, but what it enables us to achieve.
As the owner of Software Solutions, a custom software development company, my team and I helped businesses accelerate their growth by automating tedious tasks, saving time, and ensuring consistent results. Working with diverse industries opened my eyes to the intricate details required to keep a business running smoothly. Along the way, I met incredible people from whom I learned invaluable lessons.
Currently, as the Chief Technology Officer at Carvant Financial, an auto finance company specializing in subprime lending, my mission is to enhance our company's efficiency and accuracy. By improving our systems' usability and security, we aim to be the best in our field. It's a challenging role, but collaborating with dedicated professionals makes it rewarding as we strive for excellence. When I'm not immersed in work (a rarity if you ask my wife), you can find me walking my two King Charles Cavaliers, indulging in F1 racing, honing my skills at the trap shooting range, or tackling home improvement projects as an amateur contractor.
Though I'm not considered old by most standards, retirement is becoming a more tangible reality each year. I'm excited about the prospect of traveling more and working less—there are countless adventures awaiting and places yet to explore. I first met Janet Attard when we were tenants in the same building. I assisted her with some programming needs for her business website Business Know-How. We quickly became friends through our shared interests in technology and entrepreneurship. Janet's kindness and expertise in content development have been invaluable; she has an exceptional talent for demystifying complex topics and her insights into business and search engines have guided me on numerous occasions.
